"It is what you read when you don't have to that determines what you will be when you can't help it." - Oscar Wilde
Another sweet, fluffy holiday read by Jay Northcote.
Two friends, snowed in together in a remote little cabin in Wales. And then feelings evolve. And things progress. And smutty stuff happens.
The sugary goodness here was actually too much for me - I know, that shouldn't be possible. I'm sorry to say: It was just a little too much of everything. Maybe it was because I had just finished another Christmas story by this author. Maybe I'm more Grinch than Santa. Whatever the reason, I liked the story well enough, but it didn't really touch me in any way, form or fashion. And parts of it were a little too... overdramatic for me? Not sure that's the right word. But I can't explain it any better.
Anywho. I was not really impressed, I was underwhelmed, I was a little bored and my smile was really only a small one after finishing. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3, because it wasn't a bad read. Just didn't do much for me.
